Unlike standard 'black-box' EAs, every critical parameter of the UBS engine is exposed for your control. This means you can customize the detection of support and resistance, adjust lookback windows, and refine entry triggers. This level of transparency is essential for traders who want to build specialized strategies for markets or timeframes that the original developer may not have officially released.

Every trade starts with an initial stop loss and take profit, and you choose how it is managed from there: a standard trailing stop, a stop that trails recent swing highs and lows, a time-based recovery trail, break-even with an extra offset to cover costs, and MagicTrail, a tick-by-tick trail meant for scalping strategies. The trailing take profit works the other way round from what its name suggests: when a trade goes against you, it pulls the target towards price, so a small bounce closes the trade near break-even instead of at the full stop.

The AutoLoad function (OneChartSetup, added in version 5.0) runs many strategies from one chart. Each strategy is its own set file, with its own symbol, timeframe and magic number, placed in a Sets folder. Override switches change the lot size, news filter, trading hours or prop firm settings of every set at once. Group Close watches the combined open profit or loss of all loaded strategies and closes them together at a profit target or a loss limit, and it can trail the target.

Each included set file carries its historical maximum drawdown at 0.01 lots, so the Max Risk Per Strategy method can size every strategy to the share of the account you choose, for example 2% each across 20 strategies, and a single backtest shows the combined drawdown. The other lot-size methods are a fixed lot, 0.01 lots per balance step, and risk per trade as a percentage or a cash amount, calculated from each trade's actual stop distance.

Distances in UBS can scale with a long-period ATR, or with price relative to a reference price you set. With price scaling on, a 1,000-pip stop set when gold traded at 2,000 becomes 2,000 pips if gold reaches 4,000. This is what lets one set file keep working on markets that rise over the years, such as gold, indices and Bitcoin, and through both quiet and busy periods.

Equity limits built for funded-account rules: close everything and stop trading at a minimum equity, lock in a passed target at a maximum equity, and stop for the day at a daily drawdown limit that counts floating losses, as prop firm rules usually do. A randomisation setting shifts entry and exit levels by a few pips, so users running the same set file do not all place identical orders.

Separate NFP, interest-rate and CPI filters pause trading around each release and can cancel pending orders before it, using the MetaTrader economic calendar. A spread filter holds off while spreads are wide, a fake-breakout filter waits for confirmation on up to five higher timeframes, and a trading-hours schedule sets the trading window for each day of the week.
