Fairway is a grid Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. It trades one market: AUDCAD on the M5 chart, with its entry signal taken from H1. It is built for traders who know how a grid works and want a fixed limit on what one bad basket can cost. It is not a fit for beginners, and not for traders who expect every position to close within hours: a losing basket can stay open for days. A hedging account is required. Past results, in a backtest or on a live account, don't guarantee future results, and trading with an EA can lose money.
The core idea is mean reversion. AUDCAD spends most of its time moving sideways, and stretched moves tend to swing back. Fairway opens a basket when the price is stretched beyond an Envelopes band on H1. If the price keeps running, it adds orders at a growing distance. On the way back it closes them in profitable pairs. A grid usually has one weak spot: a long trend against an open basket. Fairway caps that case with a hard basket stop. A basket that reaches the set loss is closed completely, and the EA waits for the next signal. A stopped basket costs a known amount instead of the account. A long trend can still hit the stop more than once.
Fairway is developed by Pitt Petruschke (AlgoVerdict) and sold on Algo Trading Space. Version 1.10 was released on 23 October 2026. It ships with one default set, Fairway_AUDCAD_M5_v1.10.set, which has the same values as the default inputs. The developer runs this default set on his own live account at RoboForex, and our Account Tracker follows it on this page. That account is young, one to two weeks live, so read it as an early look at how Fairway trades, not as a track record.

It trades AUDCAD on the M5 chart, with its entry signal from the Envelopes band of the closed H1 candle.
A losing basket is closed completely at a set loss.
A losing basket is closed completely at a set loss. By default that is 150 USD per 3,500 USD size step.
The grid distance grows, but the lot never doubles.
The grid distance grows, but the lot never doubles. It grows one step only if the last order is older than ten hours.
BUY and SELL baskets run independently and can be open at the same time, which a netting account does not allow.
Every rule in Fairway follows set values that you can read in the inputs. There is one entry signal, one grid rule, three ways out and one hard stop.

At the open of each M5 candle, Fairway reads the Envelopes band (EMA 14, 0.2 %) of the last closed H1 candle.
At the open of each M5 candle, Fairway reads the Envelopes band (EMA 14, 0.2 %) of the last closed H1 candle. A BUY basket starts when the Ask is below the lower band. A SELL basket starts when the Bid is above the upper band. BUY and SELL baskets work independently and can be open at the same time.
If the price keeps going against the basket, the next order follows at 20 pips.
If the price keeps going against the basket, the next order follows at 20 pips. Each further distance is 1.2 times the previous one: 20, 24, 28.8, 34.6 pips and so on. The lot stays the same. It grows by one step (0.01 per size step) only if the last order is older than 10 hours, up to a maximum of 0.10 lot per size step. There is no martingale doubling. Two orders of one basket are at least 30 minutes apart.
A single order closes at +10 pips.
A single order closes at +10 pips. With several orders, the best order closes together with one base lot of the worst order as soon as the pair is 8.5 pips in profit on the combined lots. When a basket reaches a floating loss of 100 USD per size step, recovery mode starts. From then on every order closes on its own at +10 pips, until the basket is empty.
The basket stop is the central risk control.
The basket stop is the central risk control. A basket with a floating loss of 150 USD per size step is closed completely. An optional account stop closes everything at a set floating loss in % of the balance and then pauses new baskets for 18 hours. It is off by default. By default, no new basket opens while the total floating loss is above 50 USD per size step.
Fairway is tested on AUDCAD M5 only.
Fairway is tested on AUDCAD M5 only. Other symbols are not tested. It needs a broker with a tight AUDCAD spread: new baskets wait while the spread is above 4 pips. It needs a hedging account. On a netting account BUY and SELL baskets cannot exist at the same time, and the EA prints a warning.
Fairway is built for MetaTrader 5.
Fairway is built for MetaTrader 5. It is restart-safe: after a terminal restart or re-attaching the EA, open positions are found again by their magic number and managed as before. Before every order it checks that trading is allowed, the minimum and maximum volume, the volume limit and the free margin.
The basket stop closes a losing basket at a set amount per size step, so each stopped basket has a known cost.
The grid distance grows, but the lot grows one step at a time, only if the last order is older than 10 hours, never by doubling.
Lots and all money limits are set per 3,500 USD size step and grow together with the account.
Each basket shows a bar for how close it is to the basket stop, so you see the risk at a glance.
Open positions are found again by their magic number after a restart, and a second copy on the same symbol refuses to start.
Fairway fits traders who accept how a grid behaves and want its worst case written down in advance.
You know that a grid makes small, frequent gains and that a trend against it is the real danger.
You know that a grid makes small, frequent gains and that a trend against it is the real danger. You want a grid that closes a losing basket at a set amount instead of holding it until the account runs out. You accept that this stop turns a floating loss into a real loss.
You can watch a basket stay in loss for days without stepping in.
You can watch a basket stay in loss for days without stepping in. You accept a thin edge, and that a quiet stretch can end slightly negative because of the basket stops. You judge the EA over years, not weeks.
Fairway is probably not for you yet.
Fairway is probably not for you yet. It is tested on AUDCAD only, and the developer's live account has run for only one to two weeks. If you trade on a netting account or are new to grids, look elsewhere.
A grid usually fails on a long trend against an open basket.
A grid usually fails on a long trend against an open basket. Fairway is built around an answer to that case: a hard basket stop that closes the whole basket at a set loss. That is why the stop is on by default.
The entry is an Envelopes band on a closed H1 candle.

Two points need care: the account type and the size of the basket stop compared with your balance.

After you buy Fairway on Algo Trading Space, download it from My Account on Algo Trading Space. Open File, then Open Data Folder in MetaTrader 5, and copy the MQL5 folder of the package into it. Then right-click Expert Advisors in the Navigator and choose Refresh. Fairway checks its licence online, so allow our address once in MetaTrader: open Tools, then Options, then Expert Advisors, tick "Allow WebRequest for listed URL" and add https://algotradingspace.com.
Open an AUDCAD M5 chart and drag Fairway onto it.
Open an AUDCAD M5 chart and drag Fairway onto it. On the Common tab, tick Allow Algo Trading. Then switch on Algo Trading in the toolbar. On start, the Experts log shows the settings, the magic number (97962) and any warnings, for example about a netting account. Use one chart per account. A second copy on the same symbol in the same terminal refuses to start.
On the Inputs tab, load Fairway_AUDCAD_M5_v1.10.set.
On the Inputs tab, load Fairway_AUDCAD_M5_v1.10.set. All money values in Fairway are given per size step. One size step is 3,500 USD of balance, and the default trades 0.01 lot per size step. The lot, the basket stop and the other money limits grow together with the balance:
Below 3,500 USD, Fairway still trades 0.01 lot. The basket stop then becomes a larger share of the account. With 1,000 USD, −150 USD is 15 % of the balance. If that is too much for you, lower the basket stop.

After the start, a dashboard appears on the right side of the chart.
After the start, a dashboard appears on the right side of the chart. It looks like a golf scorecard and has three tabs. Status shows the system state, the signal, the lot, the spread, today's result and the basket stop. Baskets shows each open basket as a "hole", with its orders and a bar that shows how close it is to the basket stop. Scorecard is the clubhouse book: today, week, month, total, maximum drawdown and the number of basket stops. Switch tabs with a click or the keys 1, 2 and 3, and fold the panel with H. Run the terminal on a VPS or another machine that runs 24/5, because baskets can stay open for days.
Before you trade Fairway live, run the default set in the Strategy Tester with your broker's real ticks, then on a demo account. Check that your account allows hedging and that your AUDCAD spread usually stays below 4 pips. Compare the basket stop with your balance: below 3,500 USD the EA still trades 0.01 lot, so lower the basket stop if −150 USD is too large a share for you.
Fairway trades AUDCAD on the M5 chart. The entry signal comes from the Envelopes band of the last closed H1 candle, checked at the open of each M5 candle. Other symbols are not tested.
Fairway is a grid EA. If the price moves against a basket, it adds orders at a growing distance. It does not double the lot like a martingale: the lot stays the same and grows by one step only if the last order is older than 10 hours. It can hold a losing basket for days, and it takes real losses at the basket stop.
The whole basket is closed at the set loss, by default 150 USD per size step. The loss is real. Fairway then waits for the next signal and starts a new basket. You can set the basket stop to 0 to switch it off, but then a long trend against an open basket has no limit at all.
The default set trades 0.01 lot per 3,500 USD and closes a basket at −150 USD per 3,500 USD. With a smaller balance the EA still trades 0.01 lot, so the basket stop is a larger share of the account. With 1,000 USD it is 15 % of the balance. Reduce the basket stop to match your account.
A hedging account. BUY and SELL baskets work independently and can be open at the same time. On a netting account that is not possible, and the EA prints a warning.
Yes, a young one. The developer runs the default set on his own RoboForex account, and our Account Tracker follows it on this page. It has run for one to two weeks, so treat it as an early look. Before you trade Fairway live, test the default set with your own broker's real ticks.

Yes. Fairway needs a terminal that runs 24/5, so run it on a VPS. Baskets can stay open for days, and the EA must be running to manage the grid, the pair closes and the basket stop.
